Presented by Sanex WTA Tour on April 17, 2003, for winning a "Super Slam", i.e. all three titles - women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles - at all four Grand Slam events. She completed it in 2003, by winning the mixed doubles at the Australian Open

Presented by Sanex WTA Tour on May 17, 2001 for "outstanding services to the Sanex WTA Tour's Player Development program"; Martina was Belarussian Olga Barabanschikova's mentor since 1997 and Croatian Mirjana Lucic's mentor since 2000, and shared her experience and wisdom with many other young up-and-coming players in 'Partners for Success' since the program's inception in 1997

She received it on October 16, 2000. This award is presented every year since 1996 to "a female athlete who exhibits extraordinary courage in her athletic performance, demonstrates the ability to overcome adversity, makes significant contributions to sports and serves as an inspiration and role model to those who face challenges, overcomes them and strives for success at all levels"

The International Tennis Hall of Fame (based in in Newport, Rhode Island) inducts new members every year. Players are selected on the grounds of: "their records of competitive achievement, with ancillary consideration given to sportsmanship and character". The International Tennis Hall of Fame "celebrates the careers of all inductees and preserves the memories of those who have passed". Martina's induction ceremony took place on July 15, 2000

A jury of experts drew up a list of 100 greatest American athletes of the century, putting emphasis on the first 20, who were placed in alphabetical order. Martina was the only tennis player on the list and the only woman besides Babe Didrikson. Other great names were Michael Jordan, Muhammad Alì, Carl Lewis, Jesse Owens... The announcement was made by ESPN on September, 1999

Presented by WTA in 1996

Awarded on February 1996 by the George Washington University on account of her activity for the environment and animal welfare

Named by National Sports Review, United Press International and Associated Press

Presented by the Women's Sports Foundation in 1987. It honors "athletes who recognize the far-reaching benefits of sports and who are determined to share these values with others, also giving time and energy in order to promote greater sports opportunities for all girls and women"

Martina received it 3 times: in 1982, 1983 and 1984. This award is presented every year by the Women's Sports Foundation to "an individual and team sportswoman whose performances over the last twelve months have been exceptional"

The International Tennis Federation presented Martina with this award 6 times: in 1979, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986
